Why We Started Ceylon Hop 🚌

Hi, we’re Roshen and Dasis — Co-founders of Ceylon Hop.

We’ve been friends for over 20 years, ever since middle school. Our shared love for travel has been the foundation of our friendship. I was the planner — the one who mapped out every detail — and Dasis was the life of the party, making sure every trip was filled with energy and laughter.

Over the years, we’ve organized countless trips for our friends, crafting experiences that were seamless, exciting, and unforgettable. Looking back, it feels like we were always meant to do this — building Ceylon Hop to help others explore Sri Lanka the way we love to: with adventure, joy, and ease.

Traveling around Sri Lanka without a car was always a challenge. Public transport can be confusing, and planning the perfect trip often felt overwhelming — there just weren’t enough reliable online resources to guide us. On top of that, most options lacked the flexibility to explore at your own pace.

We started Ceylon Hop because we’ve been there, and we wanted to create a solution that makes discovering Sri Lanka simple, flexible, and stress-free
